Environment

Open Architecture recognises the role that buildings can play in reducing carbon emissions to combat climate change. We seek to empower homeowners to introduce renewable technologies to their projects from the outset, working with low carbon engineers to find efficient solutions and access the many grants available.

We are also familiar with the demands on commercial developers, not only by planning policy, but also by an increased public awareness of energy issues. Open can develop an energy strategy to make the most of available natural resources.

We advocate a multi-fold strategy; reducing consumption and increasing the efficiency of services and building fabric. This coupled with the inclusion of renewable technologies can dramatically reduce the carbon footprint of buildings.
