Danish Modernism in Lewisham
A small slice of 50’s Danish Modernism has arrived in Lewisham. Open Architecture have just obtained planning consent for this 3 bedroom house at the end of a suburban garden.
The Architect used Knud Friis’ house at Brabrand as the inspiration. Where Friis used picture windows to frame views of the Danish countryside, Open uses them to overcome the more suburban issue of curtain-twitching neighbours, maximising both natural light and privacy.
