Parsons Mead

The project, designed by Open Architecture in Blackheath, consists of nine flats, which Moat Homes, one of the south east’s major housing associations, is letting on a shared ownership scheme for low income families. The £1 million scheme was built in 11 months by Barnes Webster, Open Architecture being novated to the design & build contractor.
It was built on the site of a former pub – The Harp, which was in serious decline. Croydon Council supported the project as a route to regeneration of this high-crime area.
The project achieved a four-star rating in the Code for Sustainable Homes (which has now replaced eco-homes as an indicator of energy and environmental efficiency).
