LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY GRANTS PLANNING PERMISSION

The London Borough of Bromley recently granted planning permission for a single storey rear extension, demolition of a bay window and elevational alterations in Beckenham.

The ground floor has been designed to create a better flow between the spaces as well as connect both visually and physically with the rear garden.

The roof above the new extension to the lounge area is a mirror image of the roof above the kitchen to create a sense of balance and symmetry on the façade.

It is pitched with an existing bay window above. The height of the window sill to the rear has been raised to align with the new staircase.

The materials were chosen to match the existing and the same bifold door arrangement in the new extension has been used to keep a similar design aesthetic.
